center to open in Clarksburg, MD
Montgomery Station marked its 30th anniversary
of offering psychiatric rehabilitation
services, including residential and vocational
programs, to the Montgomery County community
Family Services, Inc. partners with Montgomery
County Department of Health and Human
Services, Impact Silver Spring, Interfaith
Works, and the City of Gaithersburg to
open the first Neighborhood Service Center.
The center provides assistance in applying
for basic need services, such as food,
shelter, clothing, health and mental health

Montgomery Station becomes first psychiatric
rehabilitation program to be CARF (Commission
on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities)

Early Head Start receives $1.7 million
to expand school readiness and child development
program, allowing EHS to serve 72 additional
infants, toddlers and pregnant women in
northern Montgomery County, MD

HSC Foundation awards Family Services,
Inc. a grant for $11,000 for the Life
Enrichment Awards Program (LEAP). The
purpose of LEAP is to enrich the lives
of youth and young adults with disabilities
and chronic illness and provide goods
and services directly linked to youth
transition planning and implementation
