Rehabilitation
Coordinator (Gaithersburg, MD)
Montgomery Station, Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Program. In conjunction with direct
line staff, meet with clients to develop
Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs)
and Individual Vocational Plans (IVPs),
assist clients to develop Wellness
Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) as desired
by client, obtain authorization for
services for all clients, maintain
authorization and IRP and IVP spreadsheets,
ensure compliance with all regulations
and standards of COMAR, CMS, and CARF,
as related to the planning and documentation
of services and intake procedures
and timelines. Upon receiving discharge
summaries from program staff, discharge
clients from their authorizations
on Provider Connect system and notify
billing department. Obtain and maintain
uninsured eligibility spans for clients
as needed. Communicate all information
about authorization and funding with
billing.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
in psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation
or related field required. Minimum
of two years’ experience working
in psychiatric rehabilitation required.
CPRP required within one year of beginning
position. Must have excellent writing
skills, problem solving skills (figuring
out authorization issues), is recovery
oriented and understands strength
based plans. Comprehensive knowledge
of the Maryland Public Mental Health
Case Rate System and level modifiers.
Knowledge of COMAR, CMS, CARF and
COMCOR regulations. Knowledge of Recovery
Model and Evidence-Based Practices
in psychiatric rehabilitation.
Senior Clinical Manager (Germantown,
MD)
Responsible for the oversight of clinical
and administrative day to day operations
of KHI Services, a mental health treatment
center that offers substance abuse
counseling, DWI education courses,
and various other mental health treatments
for adults and adolescents. Responsible
for policy, protocol and procedural
recommendations. Looks for opportunities
to expand services and develop new
services. Ensures compliance with
all regulations and standards of COMAR,
Medicaid, ADAA, CARF and implementation
of evidence based practices. Work
in collaboration with the Director
of Quality Assurance on implementation
and review of quality improvement
and assists with tracking of program
outcomes and statistics.
Complete psychosocial assessments
and run groups. Establish and maintain
relationships with outside agencies
and local universities and represent
FSI and the program on external committees
as required.
Provide clinical supervision to graduate
licensed staff, interns, including
assisting with psychosocial evaluations
and co-signing clinical documentation.
Provide 24-hour backup coverage for
crises and emergencies. Carry a small
clinical caseload.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree
in social work, professional counseling,
psychology, substance abuse or related
human services field; extensive experience
in clinical substance abuse and mental
health programs, management experience
and knowledge of the Maryland Public
Mental Health System. At least three
years of supervisory, management,
and program development related experience
in a clinical substance abuse setting.
Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor,
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor,
Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical
required. Board of Professional Counselors
and Therapists approved supervisor
of drug and alcohol counselors.
Rehabilitation Specialist
(Lanham, MD)
GUIDE Independence, Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Program. Participate in new client
assessments, coordinate new program
members’ transition schedules
and orientation. Assist individuals
in applying for benefits, assist consumers
in the Supported Employment Program
to understand entitlement modifications
and apply for work incentive programs.
Maintain lines of communication concerning
consumers with Day Programs, mental
health clinics, and doctors’
office. Set up client medical, dental,
and psychiatric appointments, and
maintain monthly appointment calendar.
Respond to consumer medical emergencies,
performing crisis intervention when
necessary, including, but not limited
to providing emergency first aid and
CPR. Ensure availability of consumer
medications, audit medication records
and collect medicine co-pays. Assist
with input for submission of all treatment
plans. Monitor the substance abuse
treatment component for consumers
with identified alcohol or other drug
abuse problems. Attend interagency
meetings with consumers, the local
CSA, other providers serving the consumers,
and family members when necessary,
to address special clinical or substance
abuse issues pertaining to consumers.
Compile, update, and maintain Client
Data Files in accordance with all
relevant COMAR regulations.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree
with at least two years of experience
in the psychiatric rehabilitation
field working with individuals diagnosed
with serious and persistent mental
illness or a Master’s Degree
in a mental health field. Excellent
oral and written communication skills
and prior experience designing treatment
plans and/or rehabilitation plans.
Nurse Practitioner –
Psychiatric
The nurse practitioner will conduct
initial psychiatric patient evaluations
to determine medication needs, prescribe
medications, meet with patients to
monitor their progress and to make
any necessary changes to their medication
regimen, provide care that takes into
account patients’ specific safety
needs, document evaluations and interactions
with patients, including medication
and treatment administered and complete
clinical documentation to assist patients
in acquiring and maintaining disability
payments.
Qualifications: Master’s degree
in nursing, current license in the
state of Maryland, experience providing
outpatient services to children with
serious emotional disabilities and
to adults with chronic mental illness,
familiarity with CARF standards, excellent
verbal and written communication skills
and basic computer literacy.
